Got out! I thought I was going to be in trouble as I fell off the end of the tarmac into the mud with both rear wheels. However, it drove up the step back onto the tarmac with no problem. Happy days!

This is a 7.5 ton truck that is, of course, RWD. The tyres are traction pattern and it's twin wheel which is why I think it did well :)

Anybody else been playing in the mud recently? Lol.

Aah yes the joys of having rear wheel drive !

So much better than FWD

There are not a lot of 7.5 ton front wheel drive lorries about though.

I’ve got a couple of 3.5 tone transits twin wheels at the back but light as hell on tail end slip allover the place I usually run with at least a half tone of somthing on the back for stability. remember the old 3 litre ford capri had one with four sandbags built into the tail end just to keep it in a straight line.

I’m sure wully would luv to share his expertise in how to drive out a camp site
sure there’s a video to back it up 🤪

It'll be ok once he's got his articulated motorhome.
He's not used to diving such small and powerful vehicles. 😁😁

We were on a nice dry field in Lancashire in August but after three days of rain we just sank and it took all four wheels of a low ratio unimog churning on the tarmac to pull us out it just kept spinning on the grass,
Diff lock and asr on the Concorde just kept pushing me in a straight line

On the last day of our recent trip to Italy, on the way home we stayed on a site near Calais. We had a good pitch with 'stabilised' ground (i.e. those plastic ground blocks buried in the grass) however I had to pop the front wheels 2 foot onto the pitch in front in order to reveree back straight.

Given the rain they had had, it was 2 foot too far!

I had to deploy the Milenco tracks which didn't work. I then deployed 2 pvc ground grids (like the ones they had buried) to go forward on to so I could reverse back onto the Milenco grids.

Success!

...and as a bonus when the caravan who was on the pitch in front left in the mroning, he drove straight over the 2 holes I had made making it look like he had made them
