SECC show

Hopefully it has improved from the last time I was there, but I don't think so going what people are saying on Facebook RIP off parking charges and not a lot of motorhomes or accessories but every one has different views

I’d say there were more motorhomes and less caravans this year. Didn’t see anything to make me want to change, but I was quite impressed by vans from Mobilvetta, Burstner and Benimar. There were a couple of Wingamms there and these really are nice. The smaller one was maybe a bit too small for us, but still liked it. There was also a larger one at a bargain £65000, but not in a layout I’d want.
Strangely I saw no Hymers or Dethleffs at all, maybe they've sold them all.
The food and drink was improved I think, and the little farmers market good with some of the best ice cream anywhere,
We avoided the rip off parking charges by taking the train, a very reasonable £1.50 return from Johnstone.
Couple of pictures of the very nice and very rare larger Wingamm.

I used to park at the Science centre and walk across, but they’ve stopped that by making it as expensive if you don’t go to the science centre. There are areas up by Argyle St. to park with a bit of a walk, you are pretty near the station there so can use the covered walkway.
Around St. Vincents Crescent may be worth a try.

The walkway from the station is a thin grey line on the map, it’s about 10 mins walk even at my speed.

Basically £11. I avoid anything at the SECC unless I’m really keen. The parking is just a rip off. Very satisfying to avoid it by using the train today.
Last time I went to the Motorhome show at the SECC, I parked up in the Citroen Garage and walked over the bridge :) (and they even serviced the DS while it was there ;) )

I take it that’s a modern DS not a classic.
