Spring is bursting out all over ............

True, Dave.
After a week of light rain, our neighbours are dancing through their orchards and smallholdings.
It was like watching a giant sponge fill out and green up .
Perfect timing.
We've exchanged the noise of overhead flights for the incessant partying of frogs, Toads and Cicadas, all procreating, jubilantly.

The blossom must al be out by now Paul.
Enjoy the colour while you can, the brown will be back far to quickly.

Exactly Paul, can’t match the cicadas but the frogs and toads are busy here and we have a pair of mistle thrushes who have decided to nest in our weeping silver birch. I’m having to be quiet as the tree is close to the greenhouse but so far the thrushes are standing no nonsense from the local magpies who are getting chased all over the garden in the early morning. And yes we’ve not seen any planes in or out of Manchester for 3 days now. Seems like the daily Qatar flight has stopped and that was the last regular one.

Make sure you go outside just as the light is starting to go. You will hear the Male singing his heart out. Of all the different birdsongs, the Mistle Thrush is my favourite.
