Lightning and thunder are forecast later, so I've been watching things build up and move towards Hertfordshire.
Clicking here can be quite soporific until the lightning wakes you on arrival.
The winds did
Coming down from NE, NW and anything in between.
Clouds .
Sticky.
30 degrees in the shade.
Still, we've got the store room sorted out..
Opening boxes of stuff we had shipped out 16 years ago, that we thought we couldn't do without..
Horse brasses, cut glass decanters..
Fish knives.
All going to the charity shops.
It’s been a very warm night. 17 degrees and rising at the moment. Yesterday was perfect weather, and we even missed the thunderstorms which I saw passed quite near on the weather channel radar. Maybe we’ll catch one later as more are forecast. ️️🌧
It's predominantly blue above Herts but I did, however, have a few drops of water land on me on my way back from shopping.
Blitzortung.org is showing lightning in Kent and London, so perhaps fun is imminent?
How exciting!
Missed the fun and games so far today, but showers turning up and thunder in the distance, I’m guessing that the big storms in the Midlands are heading our way as they track up from the south east ..... could be a noisy night
It's overcast and wet here in Herts - which must be good news for the local flora and fauna.
It seems to be getting brighter so perhaps there'll be an opportunity to get out and about later this afternoon, but in the meantime I'll find some indoor jobs that don't really need doing.
We’ve missed the heavy showers over the last few days, just heard some distant thunder once. Some cloud about this morning but calm and very pleasant, and should remain dry again. 🌥🌥🌥
Missed the big storm last night but the overnight rain is continuing without a break today and for most of tomorrow looking at the forecast, but brightening up for the weekend and beyond .............
