It’s not been the year that most of us would want, but just looked back through my photos and there were some good times this year.

After seemingly endless lockdown at the start of the year in June we got away for a few nights wilding on the West coast.

On the way home Loch Fyne looked stunning.35DE79DF-2B74-4700-B33E-5CEF3077EE6E.jpeg

Next we had a long tour first attending the meet at Kelso and later Strawberry Fields. We enjoyed the meets but were a bit put off by one unpleasant incident, however this is at a fun lunch at Strawberry Fields.

Our tour continued with a visit to RHS Wisley and a 40 year course reunion.

We managed occasional days out in the old cars, including a great day in Millport.

After the annual Bentley Motorhomes rally we stayed at Fleetwood as we headed home.

We had another frosty but bright trip to the West coast

Before health problems took over and grounded us for a while.

Anyone else got any memories to share here of the good bits of 2021?

We bought Brunhilde, our first motorhome, at the end of April 21. We managed 65 nights away, mainly in Scotland, ranging from CAMH site with EHU, a range of CLs, 2 pub car parks, 3 rallies in Car Parks, a delightful National Nature Reserve at Burn O Vat Visitor Centre about 20 miles west of Banchory, and several trips to a former CL on the edge of Tentsmuir Forest, Tayside; the latter is a combination of a lovely natural setting to view red squirrels, herons and several small bird species, and a relaxed environment at £5 per night, where we can 'play and learn' about the M/Home

We'll remember 2012 as the year we explored Blighty more than we would have if we were allowed abroad. A blessing in disguise in many ways.

After release from lockdown in April we managed 125 nights or so in the MH with long trips to Cornwall/Devon; a tour of north Wales; and 5 memorable weeks touring northern England. Interspersed with these were local stays in Pembrey and trips to see family/friends up in Gloucestershire.

As much as we enjoyed all this we are pretty desperate to get touring abroad again and have outline plans for at least 4 months away across 3 trips, if/when we are released.

Happy touring in 2022 folks :)

Just found a few more pictures of happy times in 2021.
On our summer tour we stayed on a lovely CL in Essex, all to ourselves for our daughter to visit us from London.

We also stayed at the Citroen Car Club national rally near Huntingdon on our tour and were taken on the scenic drive

A final good memory from the year was how it started, a New Year zoom meet with some of our good friends here and on Wildcamping. Here’s hoping for some good memories to be made in 2022.

And then ......... yes, we made it to France. No real touring, tunnel both ways and just Il de Re and a campsite we knew well, home via Saumur.

No Covid problems, the French were more cautious than folks at home.
Final two trips were up to the north east and Lindisfarne and the Xmas market at Chatsworth House.
