It will be September so snow should not be a problem. What time of year? Consider the white stuff on the tops early in the year...
Tourmalet is a must, Andorra felt bizarre to me... dozens of fuel stations on the border with France.
Its all exciting and beautiful... mind you I was not in my van but a Scooby 2000 WRX turbo Imprezza (makes a difference on the smaller roads I think)
Enjoy

'Keep taking the tablets; not the yellow ones, they're causing it,' as Eric Morecambe used to say ...If it's maps you're looking for, Windy Maps free app for Android and IOS is unbeatable IMHO. Detail level is amazing, and you can download maps so that an internet connection isn't needed - important in mountain areas. Have a look at. It covers the world!
We wouldn't be without it on the tablet.

Hi. I’ve driven over the Pyrenees twice and to be honest the drives were awesome. Different routes one in each direction. The only comment I would make is that Andorra wasn’t worth a visit. As you drive down into the town it is just petrol fumes and a mass of cheap shops. This was late 2000s so could have changed. The second drive was the best Whatever you do enjoy the experience.Has anyone found a route map for touring the Pyrenees? We intend travelling from west to east and would like to grab most of the highlights. Most of the routes I can find only cover localised circuits of different areas.
I’ve been through Andorra a few times over the years and it doesn’t improve with age. It is busier, dustier, and it’s no longer the place to go for tax-free goodies. Fuel is extremely cheap in comparison to either borders. We were there in October and I really wished we had not bothered. The scenery is to die for so partly makes up for it.Hi.
