hi vanterrier. that's retirement for you we both worked 38 & 40 years to get there BUT there is no fun growing old

The first time we watched the Tour was in Brittany we waited for two hrs saw the caravan pass then the riders went past in two minutes so ever since we,ve picked a mountain stage an in most cases you need to be there a day in advance to get parked but the atmosphere is worth it.

I've been retired 8 years now and have never been busier!!!
I will treat us (me) to a TDF visit, preferably in the Pyrenees some day. But not this year sadly.
Its on my list of "return to places I went in my youth but couldn't afford" along with the TT. Etc etc...
