Hi can we have hook up at night please?
You can only book one EHU session 24hrs in advance at the rally, this is to give everyone the chance to keep their batteries topped up, if you read the description on the first page then this will tell you all you need to know. Thanks

OK, sorry about that - I got the wrong end of the stick!!!!

Thanks Jeff and Gordon, looking forward to it, Elaine has just had a hip replacement this week, so it will be her first outing in the motorhome since surgery, she is likely to be still on her crutches though.
Might need to speak to the 'Physioterrorists' for advice for travel etc after 6 weeks [?]. I've had both hips replaced and the discharge advice was not to plan trips etc until the Physio had confirmed to the surgeon that I had passed my MOT! The 2nd hip had some problems, and I think I probably cocked up some of the [walking] strengthening exercises, resulting in my 6 weeks rehab check being extended by 4 weeks; this was, ahem, disappointing [I think I actually cried, it was just a crushing response to what I had assumed would be a 'fine, off you trot clearance, especially after the first hip got clearance bang on 6 weeks!]

Thanks Steve she had her first hip done two years ago and over did her exercises regime on that occasion, her physio told her to slow down, but she was very determined to get herself back to normal, this actually set her back.

So this time she is taking it easier, having said that she only came home on Wednesday morning after having the operation on Monday afternoon and is already insisting on going up and down the stairs rather than me move her bed downstairs for her.
The consultant has said we can't fly for 12 weeks, only because of the risk of DVT, but I said are we able to get a few breaks in with the motorhome in that case, he replied if she feels up to it and as long as she feels comfortable doing it and doesn't over do it. It's easier and smaller for her to walk round the motorhome than our house, I can always borrow a wheelchair if it's a fair distance from the clubhouse to the van, don't think she will be cycling or going for long walks.

She sees the consultant at Spire again in early December to make sure everything is going well. David

Hi All,

I have been summoned for a medical appointment at 2.40pm on the Saturday afternoon in Halifax Hospital but shuld be able to get to Whittingham by 6pm. This means I will only be staying for Saturday and Sunday nights now. I will also need 2 tickets to the Party.

Thanks

Hi Jeff,
Yes please put me down for 3 nights from Saturday please. Also one ticket please. There is a possibility that I might not make the Saturday night but will let you know nearer the time.
Peter
I should have said 2 tickets please.

FULL
We are taking reserve places only

Whitingham & Goosnargh. Thursday 10th November - 15th November 2022. 5 Nights

60 vans max

This could be our last ever event in the campsite clubhouse as it is being demolished in 2023,(but there is a brand new clubhouse being built on site and when one closes the other should be ready for opening), so this means we cannot have New year at this venue this year, as the clubs own members want to have their last ever New Years eve at the club

We have decided to treat this rally as if it was also our New Year bash and I am sure we will see the clubhouse out with a bang

ALL VANS will be on hardstanding,

Every day we will have the heated clubhouse available from 10.00 am, for us to use during the daytime we will also be having a biscuit table for you to bring sealed biscuits, sweets and cakes to share with everyone, also you can bring your own food and drinks all day until the bar opens in the evening
We have got access to toilets, fresh water, showers, waste water, rubbish disposal and elsan point

Dogs are allowed on site and also in the clubhouse, they MUST be on a lead at all times and all dog mess must be cleaned up immediately

Thursday, November 10th in the clubhouse, 20.00pm. Chats and catch ups with friends

Friday, November 11th, 20.00pm, Quiz followed by disco music

Saturday, November 12th - The Farewell Party with a Neil Diamond Tribute Act, Doors open 19.30pm

Sunday, 19.30pm, wind down and hair of the dog

In the evening when the bar is open we can only eat and drink items purchased from the bar.

SATURDAY EVENING WILL BE A TICKET ONLY EVENT

The fun will start at 19.30 pm in the main function room, at 20.30 pm, we will have a Neil Diamond Tribute Act on stage to entertain us with songs to get the dance floor filled all night.
The cost of The tickets will be £5 per person, this will include all entertainment
Children under 16 free. We will also be having a table for you to bring and share cakes, crisps, biscuits, sweets etc

Camping will be £11 per unit per night

EHU will be available for everyone but limited to 4 hours time slots from 10.00 am until 18.00 pm and because we are going to have to split the electric points this service will only be 3 amp, so leisure battery charging only, anything else will trip the switch and the other vans who are charging off the same circuit as you will not be happy. A time slot will have to be booked for this service and booked 24hrs in advance, the cost for this service will be £2.00 for 4 hours . If you have booked to have ehu overnight from 19.00 pm until 8.00 am then the cost for this will be £3.00. Sorry for the way we have distributed the ehu points, but this is the only fair way that we can make sure everyone has enough power for the duration of their stay. If you intend to use this service then please bring your long EHU lead or even two, AND ALSO A SPLITTER. This service is being overseen by trotter (Derek) and all bookings will have to be booked through Trotter without exception, he/she will have the final say and decisions on how this will be distributed, anyone who does not agree with the above and tries to run fridges /heating etc and keeps tripping the power will be unplugged and at Trotters discretions could / will not be invited to use this service again

If you do want to attend, please post in the thread below including how many nights you will be attending and how many people will require tickets for the Saturday evening party
