We have 2 gaslow bottles .which are all good.
My question has any one added another standard gas bottle to there system .I would like to put a calor gas bottle in my garage in a sealed cupboard yes would put drop vent in floor.
Fit out side bbq point to connect it to system using a normal bottle regulator on that bottle turning off gaslow regulator while using it.
So it would be like back feeding a bottle in to bbq point as done in Spain.

Seems a bit OTT
Do you want a BQ point for say a cadac
If so simply un the Cadac off a calor bottle
But it seems yo want extra capacity for tha main system
We have 2 x 11kg tanks and have never come close to running out

Fitting a bq point in garage would just connect extra bottle..
We have a external bbq point.
Reason for extra capacity.
It is becoming harder to refill many station are stoping lpg.
We will be fulltiming over winter months so will need more capacity. Heating running fridge freezer. Cooking .off grid most of time.
If we get low we can pick a new bottle .at most service stations .

We have a 'spare' 6kg non refillable bottle. When wehad the refillable system fitted in Thirsk, we bought a spare hose that connects to the lpg refill point and has a standard fitting on the other end to connect to the 6kg bottle ' in case you go up to Inverness and cannot get lpg refills' as Autogas said. The hose was a few pence short of £20, IIRC

I've seen those hose on ebay to connect to fillpoint.
But that would mean bottle standing out side.
As per using outside bbq point.
I was thing better in side van as we only have few days in each spot. When off grid .

Might be better to just go underslung and sell the the cylinders to defray the cost and you have an extra storage locker too.

We use Calor and only once struggled to find a cylinder which was on Mull one summer.

I use Calor too. The dealers haven't been getting it - various ones have told me they put in an order for say 30 bottles and they get 6 delivered. It's pot luck if you happen to call by just as they've had a delivery.
Back in July I rang round every dealer and garage within an ever expanding distance from home to be told no. Finally a Morrisons nearly 30 miles away said they had one so I said please hold it for me I'll be there in an hour. When I got there they didn't have any at all. They thought I wanted barbecue gas. Finally got one when I struck lucky at my local place and they'd just had a delivery of 7 bottles (had ordered 20).

Plenty of calor dealers round the Midlands I've been looking around with interest lately .
There was a bottle shortage but I've got one .

Must have been lucky, I do tend to buy them away from touristy areas as there is more demand there, I always carry two.

Maybe you could have a 6kg strapped in somewhere.

IN not ON you dirty minded old tart.

I find you are insufficient in causing the same here.

When I fitted my refillables in my van , I used 2 x 11kg GASIT bottles , one connected to the van feed using an adaptor shown and the second just sitting beside it full ready to be connected to the van feed in should the first bottle empty, [ It never has as I just top up with gas as and when I see it on sale ] both bottles are connected to the fill point in the vans skirt so both fill simultaneously as needed, I did not want change over valves etc as that complicates things and I think simple is best, by fitting an adapter to both bottles I can run the van from number one and use number 2 with a regulator and quick release fitting to run the Barbi as and when ,it works really well and is simple , my connections on the pig tails are hand screw tighteners . I purchased the whole set up from GASIT

I use Quick release fittings on all my gas appliances in my sheds and garage , shown is one of my shed heaters running from BUTANE bottle , it also runs the barbies, blow lamp etc the same way

Where will you be full timing Forget Calor if across the water their gas is much cheaper and very low deposit on bottles

Have you actually had problems filling your lpg anywhere? I ask as I see bits on Facebook but have never yet had problems myself. As for less places there are now more different sources starting to come in, dealers, hire company’s stuff like that.
