BLACKPOOL/2cv

Thank you Gordon. Moved in today and now just have a few boxes to unpack! Really looking forward to our new life down here and getting everything in place. Likewise hope that you’re both good and have a Happy Christmas and New Year.

We’re often down in that part of the world as Sue‘s dad lives in Penwortham (Preston) and my dad used to live in Lytham (or maybe it was Ansdell as everything runs into everything else!) before we moved him up here. Lovely part of the world but there are no hills nearby. Some great pubs and eateries though, especially in St Anne’s.
Enjoy your new life down there, Bill and Susie, and you never know, we might bump into you on the prom sometime!

Tony and Sue

Nice to hear your getting settled and your both happy hope you have time to relax over Xmas as moving house can be very stressful. 💋💋

Enjoy your first Xmas in your new abode. T’other half was born in Blackpool, but never been back. We found some hills in the Peak District. I can’t remember if you can see the Lakeland hills from Blackpool.

Hi Bill glad you are likeing Blackpool. I lived there just after the war when they built a power station just up the road a bit. Its probably been pulled down now has it was a coal one my dad worked on. I attended my first school in Blackpool which the first day I remember well but can't remember the name of the school I still support Blackpool F C to this day. Enjoy the rest of your time there.
.... Tom ....

From the Fylde coast you can see the Lakeland hills and Barrow, the Pennines and the Welsh mountains and Anglesey. On a very clear day you can see the Isle of Man.

Thanks Tom. It was probably Fleetwood power station Link. I was born there and spent most of my time up to 18 there. Even had a Blackpool fc season ticket then. Hope that we get to meet up again soon.

Great to have you in the North West Bill, hope you settle in soon and enjoy some childhood memories. Have a great Christmas and a Happy new year, hope to see you at some rallies soon (y)
