I mentioned Hogans Heroes on the other thread as a starter.

I am currently watching (or dipping into):

"Justice" - 1970's Court Drama. Shown on Talking Pictures. Also all episodes available on Youtube
"Spearhead" - 1970s Army Drama. Showing on Talking Pictures. Can be viewed in tptvencore.co.uk
"Survivors" - 1970's 'end of the world as we know it' Drama. Must have watched this series well into double figures! Think available on Britbox at the moment?

with the OH ...
"Monarch of the Glen" - 1980's BBC Series. On Britbox

There are a few childrens series from the 60's and 70's which were remarkably grown up (i.e. for children, but not childish) and enjoyable to watch even now and as an adult.
"Timeslip" - 1960's Time Travel
"Changes" - 1970's Sci-Fi. I remembered something about this series and have wondered for years what the series was called until I found it a couple of years ago and bought the DVD of the series (just a 5 or 6 part single series). Interesting if you like (or rather hate!) technology!
"Tripods" - 1980's Sci-Fi series, based on the books by John Christopher (If you want a scary post-apocalyptic story, read/watch his novel "The Death of Grass")

Can't think of any that I would like to see come back or remade - but only as "out of sight, out of mind". There are bound to be some!

We have been watching Judge John Deed on Virgin, he did a couple of others which escape me that were good.

Yes, they are very watchable (though his sex addiction that runs through the series is a bit silly). Apart from The Professionals, of course, his other main series I think was Inspector George Gently.
Vera is a good long-running Police series which we dip in and out of.
if you like Police type Dramas, "Special Branch" is good. Bit of a Forerunner to The Sweeney.
And of course those early BBC Police Series "Z Cars" and the spin-offs "Softly Softly Task Force" and "Barlow" - not sure the last time any of those were shown on TV? I'd probably have a watch of those if I ever saw them listed :)

Ah yeas George Gently, I just watched all the Sweeney's last year, excellent and Minder (a bit samey but ok) I never got into the early police stuff apart from dockson of dick green.

Watching Magpie detective at the moment, Rain dogs on BBC, The Persuaders, Highland Cops, Quite keen on Judi Dench stuff, as time goes by (hugely funny). I'm waiting for 1923 to come back on as it looks good, The Cleaner???
Redemption ITV, Murder in Paradise, and the spin off Beyond Paradise, new one is Rabbit hole with Keifer Sutherland, not seen it yet.
The Beiderbecke x three series, The Cockfields.
I'll watch or read anything by Brenan O'Carroll he's seriously good and can do straight fiction as well as comedy

something just came to mind .... When the Boat Comes In. Remember that one with James Bolan the lead Actor? thinking about it, it was a little like an early Peaky Blinders in many ways.

We shall have a fishy...
