20230519_142903.jpgwe just visited this site for the second time, great walks to the jumbles country park and around the lake .
And we visited turton towers and found the pill box.
Worth a vist

Stopped there last Bonfire night ...

Nice spot and pleasant facilities ...
Nice level gravel pitches (though did feel a bit like being parked in a farm carpark though )
As you say short walk down the lane to the country park (we gave it a swerve due to our two reactive hounds and lots of folks out and about )

Nice bit of the country in general though .

I'm aware of that ....

I've stayed on farm sites before where it didn't feel like you were literally in the farm yard ...
Each to their own etc,
just thought it was worth mentioning that it is rather farm yard like ...
Possibly less so IF you are on the lower field ...though you have less of a view from down there .
