8v USB charging in van

No laughter please at my total ignorance re this stuff after so long. Looking to buy an engraving tool that is re chargeable. The one I'm looking at is 8v; is this ok to charge in my van. Thank you

If it comes with a USB type charger just plug it in to a USB socket and it'll be fine. Just treat it like a phone or toothbrush charger.

Thanks. Thought so but get neurotic about gas and electrics

It probbly won't work on gas, I think that's called poking or summat.
