Another damp question

This time the van. I've been joking that with 60% damp in my 18 year old van it would last for me because other than the wardrobe no smell or obvious signs. But when, just now, I discovered actual wet curtains and corner of bed I cannot ignore that.
So question is: Please can anyone point me to a YouTube clip explaining how to reseal. With damp to be sorted at home I have neither the financial resources or will to have the whole van stripped back; even if it was worth it which I'm assured it's not.
Thanks for reading. Roll on the sun!

Have you discovered where the water is getting in?

It may be from around a window or a failed bit of sealing where the roof meets the sidewall or a side joint where the cab meets the body.

If the wood is not spongie then find the leak and seal before winter & rain starts, it may be a window or a leak at a panel joint, or even a internal tap pipe joint, also sink outlet, answer is torch look poke find seal.

hi. the damp we've had in the past were from windows if you can take the inside cover off & look at the top like ours we could see daylight because they never put enough sealant there . roof lights check seal as after time the non setting sealant dry's out & shrinks . outside lockers with bad fitting seals . last outside joint seals when we found damp in our old cheyenne the strip at the back when taken off HAD no sealant at all . the problem with damp usually when you find out you have it sorry but its to late . we bought a autotrail Dakota brand-new 2008 only 9 months old water had been getting in from an outside locker damaging the floor dealer said that needed a new floor at the back & would have to have the m/h for 2 months so at a trade in loss of £7000 we bought the cheyenne . cheyenne

I had it booked in literally the week of lockdown to be gutted. Couldn't get it in. I sometimes imagine how dry it would be now given that really hot summer of 2020. Oh well. It still functions.

If I am correct your van dose not have any windows in your damp area, more likely a roof to side joint , I use a local mobile repair , can you find one , this time of year is a slack time for repairers , hope you find someone may be philip could recommend some one, oh and keep of the roof it's a long way down
