With that lot on board you ought to think about going to your local weighbridge as most vans like yours are very close to their max. weight and knowing how keen some countries are now about van weights etc.

Away this weekend. We were going to stay at Marck, but now have to go to Roeselare instead to pick up new gas springs for drop down bed…which has become over enthusiastic about dropping down!
hi barge. let me know if there was any room as i have a few in reserve like always when we travel abroad just in case (y) .cheyenne

Have you checked you’re not over the limit for crossing borders with that much alcohol on board? Since Brexit it has changed for bringing stuff back and also, the countries in Europe have different limits too. Being in the EU/Schengen area doesn’t change that. It’s why you still see the various customs units by the old border posts. The French have them close to Spain and Andorra for such cases. People get stopped after using the electrical stores and booze supermarkets just over the border. You might have known, but many don’t.

you clearly haven't read my first post it says FIRST STOP pidou with photo ( dated end of January going to Spain for 3 months ) then park up for the night at mark if you google these places you will se they are in FRANCE . we had a farm house in the south of France since 1989 & sold it in 2008 & visited Andorra many times & know the rules its sounds a bit like sour grapes to me am i wrong  .cheyenne

if anybody is interested the fan i put inside up to now is cooling the fridge down about 4deg more just on no 3 setting & you get a cold blast when opening the door i think this will be permanent . cheyenne

Do you mean sour grapes from me about you travelling there? If so it’s not. Apologies if it came across as that. It was a genuine attempt to bring the rule to your notice. As you say I miss read your post, so that’s my mistake. But I did say if you were aware of it, others might not. Have a safe trip.

we are well season travelers but sorry for my stupid reply .cheyenne

That's interesting about you putting a fan inside the fridge by the cooling fins. The big domestic fridges work similarly, they have a cold element with air blown over them and around the inside by a fan. I wouldn't think you need such a large fan though.
On a similar separate theme I have bought a small fan to fit to the ventilation port of a Thetford cassette toilet. I think most campers have the facility built in. Under the cassette is a square hole 40mm x 40mm and you can fit a Sunon PSD1204PHB1-A fan, and match this to a 2 minute timer and the flush button you can evacuate the gaseous part of the cassette taking away the smells.

. . . . that's the theory. I've got the fan, but not the camper. I hope to collect it next week. I wonder if that 40 x 40 fan would circulate the air in the fridge . . .

.. . . anyway by the time you reach a weighbridge most of that weight will have been drunk, surely?

got back from France yesterday down south it was up to 37deg & the fridge was a 100% better first job will be install the fan proper with a switch for when not needed . the wife said you get a cold blast when opening the door thumb's as we will never have to be worried about any heatwave & putting my beer in front of the fan was super cold . cheyenne
