It's a nice site Burge.Just joined the CCC already in the CAMC but saw Moffat & fancied it so booked for early September.
Thanks for thatIt's a nice site Burge.
Never ventured out of Moffat sorry lolThanks for thatis there anywhere worth visiting for a run out (lakes ,van parking ect) as we're there for 4 nights ?
Some decent walks on [almost] route marked signposts, with lovely views over the countryside. Some of the gradients are quite steep so regular stops to lean over, hands on knees and wheeze your lungs up! A wander around the town is very pleasant [plenty of tea/coffee shops] and there's a reasonable sized park behind the Co-op for a flat walk. We managed to fill 2 nights in Moffat, but 4 will be stretching the options ...Thanks for thatis there anywhere worth visiting for a run out (lakes ,van parking ect) as we're there for 4 nights ?
a bit of a sweeping statement and not factually correct, but it's an opinion! When the idiots with motorhomes ruined wildcamping (in a big coachbuilt), the THS were the difference between packing it all in or continuing. There are some really great temporary sites around the UK.
Unless you have also wildcamped exclusively over a long period, you will have no idea of the accuracy (or not). You were a long time member of MHF and I don't remember you using off grid camping in your motorhome, especially in a large Tag Axle motorhome. You might even be a funster where we are known as freeloading tossers. Now that would be strange to be a member of both forums ..... wouldn't it marchie.A bi

We were thrown out because we objected to being called FLTsUnless you have also wildcamped exclusively over a long period, you will have no idea of the accuracy (or not). Not at all, maingate. I cancelled my membership of Fun after I told Jim in a PM that I would just run my membership down until Mar 2022 and that I would not darken his doorstep again. Jim responded by refunding the unexpired Membership Fee [some £3.14 IIRC] in mid-December 2021, and I worked on the basis that my account would be closedUnless you have also wildcamped exclusively over a long period, you will have no idea of the accuracy (or not). Good to see a post by you without an awful attempt at humour in it. Keep it up.Not at all, maingate. For whatever reason, Jim has not closed my account [keeping up Member numbers? Keeping my posts for others to read? I neither know nor care]. My account exists, because Jim granted free membership on the renewal date without consulting me, but whilst he has granted [unasked] 'Free Membership', he has also restricted all rights on the account, so I am unable to post anything. I have only reading access to New Posts, the same as any member of the public
Sorry to deflate your snide little comment. I'll continue to ignore you. I remain indifferent to your utterances
