Trying to obtain new low wattage led spot bulbs mr16 got some today 3*5 watt too fn bright sick trying anyone got recommendations for some warm ones

I may have some here as i bought a job lot, will take a look in the morning for soft white, have the lamp units as well.

The other option is a dimmer Gordon, I'll show you one at hereford.
Dimmer is ok for brightness but doesn’t alter the harshness of the bright white does it?

I have a mix of warm white then a couple of short bright white strips and some rechargeable bright white dimmable I can move about. Bright white I like for reading/detail stuff otherwise warm. Old eyes me though :)

The LED lamps in my Motorhome were not very good (failing with flickers) and I replaced them with new ones that suited the shape better (the type Trev linked to), but I am not keen on the warmth (or lack of) of the typical LED output :( In the shower room I actually did the opposite to the norm and replaced the LED lamps with new Halogen ones! yes, it is less efficient of course, but ok with that with the length of time those lights stay on.
Fitted Multicolour LED Strips in the living area above the lockers in aluminium fittings with diffusers to tone them down. The combination of being able to adjust the colour and the brightness plus the diffuser makes for a nice background illumination

Use soft white, pure bright is ok over a kitchen unit, have have 3 small swivel units at front of the van using 2 pin very small car leds which are almost yellow, good at night when peeping out of the curtains. 😂forward from beds.jpg

I may be remembering wrongly again but I am sure when I did the calculation there was little difference in power consumption on two halogen strip lights in my van. So little o wasn’t going to change them as the kitchen one was £36, (well pre covid price) for the led version. Unfortunately I didn’t notice it was still in my basket when I purchased something else lol

Sad person that I am, I actually spent some time and noted down the actual power consumption of EVERY light in turn in my motorhome :)
(I can even tell you the difference in milliamps between having a Multicolour strip light set to red, green, blue, or white plus the various colour mixes  )

As an aside, I did note that Halogen DOES use a lot more power than LED without a doubt. And that was brought home to me one time when I noticed I had used a lot more power on the habitation electrics than I expected - and when I checked around, I saw the bathroom lights (2 x spot lights) had been switched on accidently by a packed windbreaker (stowed behind loo base) knocking it.
But .... there is more to making a choice than the straight "this uses less power so must be better" route of course. Cost to change is very relevant; appearance is important to many (it is to me - albeit seeming shallow, I like things to look nice and 'right' as well as working well); and of course function is the most important.

Don’t know if it makes a difference but it was halogen tubes I meant David, I changed all the halogen bulbs/spotlights to led. Only things that are now halogen are the 3 patio (outside over door) lights and the tube over the bed. None get enough use to warrant changing although I would have done the patio leds if I knew how to get them out lol
