Get TomTom GO Navigation for free for a year, worth £19.99*
For new car plan subscribers only. The first year is free, after that the subscription is automatically renewed for another year.

Offer valid until September 4, 2023
I haven't read the T&C to see if you can cancel before the automatic subscription but it says that you can cancel anytime

Just had look at this it's for car users , we would need truck app at £100 per month .if we have read it correctly..

I'd be cautious of Greeks bearing gifts. 😳

A friend of mine doubled his subscription by mistake (he's not great with computers) and has given up trying to find a person to talk to in order cancel it.

I'm keeping my elderly TomTom Go going and putting up with it's irritating issues until it crashes, and then I'll choose something else.

Seems ok to me, paid £0.00 via Paypal, so any problems they refund you.

Yes it is for car users but a lot of members still drive cars so I thought it worth posting, it costs less pa than map updates than a conventional satnav and includes trffic/speedcameras and monthly updates, the truck one at £100 per year (not per month) is good but now doesn't accept 3rd party POI's so I wouldn't recommend it

Hmm, I just opened it to have a look as last time I looked at the TT app is was a bit pants.

just looking through the settings and it has this, I started with the TT one V4 in 2004 I think and the standalone ones were quite good, but the apps have all been terrible, and really clunky, this one does look a bit better to be fair, but not tried it on the road yet.

For what's its worth ....I've used Tom Tom on various of my phones (rather than stand alone device )
over the last 10 years or so for my daily commute between Manchester and Various Jaguar landrover sites in the Midlands ....

The live traffic has saved me hours and hours over the years ...

Some of the diversions I've accepted (they're optional)
Have had me on the edge of my seat ...

BUT I really really cannot fault tomtom one bit .

My other half as a self employed courier has also used it for years ...
Even WHEN the live traffic was a PAID option on stand alone devices ...

And she's from YORKSHIRE ....

I'll be surprised if it's any better than Google maps

The advantage it has is that you can download maps so it will work if you have no WiFi, but look at this review
You can download Google maps too Terry, I always do it for where we are headed just in case, as it cannot plan a route without a data signal.

Ah I use a male voice, it keeps saying "Bear Right" Liz hates it, so it's at full volume.
