On my phone, lots of call recording apps out there these days some are free.

Its those that are selling your number to all and sundry, ask yourself why apps want to have acess to pictures mic files & camera amoung other things.

Last time I looked they didn't exist as it's illegal (or was) to record someone without their knowledge. I'll have a look again, cheers.

It's not illegal everywhere, and I normally say the call is being recorded just like everywhere you ring these days, the only issue I've had with some is Google put a ban on showing the callers number in the recordings list, but my one gets around it somehow.

One drawback is that on all the ones I have tried, the person on the other end is a lower volume, but you can download them as MP3 and listen to them on the PC which helps.

This is mine, it has ads but not very intrusive and it can be PIN locked too.

I now put on an even older voice and ask them to hang on while I put my recorder on " It's for my son you see; he's a detective and works in a unit that traces calls and chases the scammers out there."

When we moved here some years ago we bought a set of BT cordless phones that included "Call Guardian" FOC, offering to stop up to 100% of nuisance calls.

It works exactly as intended.

I tell them no pc or smart phone, many folk over 60ish here dont have either or could use them, we tried a mobile with wifes mother, no mission.

Thank you for the complament, its true many older folk dont have them, only a few years back the m inlaw got a bt wire ph into the house, still has trouble using it, hence we have to go down each day to make sure alls well.
When they had a farm way down country they had no electric or tap water, candles/parafin lamps and a well, some places here only got electric in the late seventies or early eighties, some remote places still dont have it.
