It is bizarre, Ikea have this Fish Friday (non Catholics are welcome too) for £3.45, then a tiddly piece of cake for around same price.I’m not a big lover of their traditional meat balls but they do fish & chips or the other week turkey dinner with 3 veg which was good. And cheesecake![]()

Dam, I’ve been outedSuch a miserable day today weather wise that I decided to treat Sue to lunch today. Costco but not the cafeteria, we went for the free samples. Not a bad lunch once we had been round a couple of times!! Slightly odd mix of food and drink but perfectly acceptable. Only problem was the stuff we had in our trolley at checkout - over 500 quids worth but mainly my fault because I just can’t help myself from picking up DeWalt power tools even though I have no use for them, and how can two of us plough through 9 huge Costco mince pies before they go stale?
Quite a revelation though - the chill cabinet stuffed with Stornoway Black Puddings (slightly emptier after our visit) looked remarkably similar to the picture posted recently by the self styled SBP ambassador. I wonder if I have tracked down his source.
Wully, I think you are a serial hot doggerDone the Ikea hod dog challenge a few years ago when they were 50p each 6 of us £10 each in the kitty winner take all easiest 60 quid I ever won I managed 7. We tried it at Costco last year i done four and won another 40 quid.
