Liz mentioned this yesterday but when I tried the normal right click on the pad it just pasted as normal so I left it, but it just did it again.

So I've sorted it but never seen this on any other browser, and as I say it's a new thing, possibly a MS update caused it.

The cure:-

Just for the record, Linux probably won't run MSN or outlook.

That’s been about for as long as I remember Kev. There are a lot more of you like using shortcuts, just Google windows shortcut keys should give you them

I know most of the Neil already, but Liz is a bit dumb on the puters, never goes into anything, just emails and Chrome, I and up having to sort it out, she's only recently mastered pasting URLs into emails, so she's streets ahead of the little Irish chap :D :D

I used to use a lot of shortcuts when working but have forgotten most now. Then again I only fired up my windows laptop last year to update it. Getting as bad with the Mac, months since I have turned it on. Just using iPad and phone nowadays

I got to know most of the DOS command line stuff as it was often easier than using Windows 3 etc, Dir/w/o etc

Which I read this morning is being deleted for Win 11, which is a real shame.

I have noticed that sometimes the copy and paste with the mouse buttons don't always work and have to use the Control-C and Control-V keys. And sometimes Mouse Copy doesn't work but Mouse Paste does. Not found a pattern to when it works and when it doesn't work.

PS. When "WYSIWYG" (who remembers THAT phrase? :D ) versions of Programmes such as WordPerfect and Wordstar came in, the keyboard short-codes still worked alongside the menu pull-downs and MS Word (which was always WYSIWYG I think?) copied all the Wordstar key commands (I was a big Wordstar fan and I used to get every new version sent to me to test :) )

What you see is what you get :D :D not here that, RIRO & CICO too

Anyone use the ASCI codes?

It can run everything, including a bathtube to wash that dirty windows garbage out of ones head. 😂
WE use screen shot in linux which will capture anything on the screen.screen shot.jpg

Yes, but it's crap Trev, I know it & you know it, a link gives you the FULL info a screenshot does not and the above is photo not a screenshot anyway.

Of no use though, a link gives you the full web page with all the attending links, a screen shot can be useful, but if you want the real info it doesn't provide any more than what is on the screen.

I am certain that you could do it, and you're not as simple as you like us to think.

On my Chromebook which I think is Linux but not sure, it works the same way as in windows, I tap the url, I right click and select copy or use Control + C then in a thread reply box I click in the box and I right click again and choose Paste or use Control + V.

Be a good lad and try that and I shall send you a gift if you succeed..

But a picture is not worth a link; indeed, a thousand pictures are not worth a link.
A link to who what were and when, do you meen no wifi or a ph with little or no memory or a old slow processor, im lost, well i always was a bit.

Or a link to a particular post

A link tells you where the whatever is, you can buy from a link, a picture is just a picture.
