Little question .... Any tips on how to remove the interior cover of these windows?

Right now I have made zero attempt at removing it as I thought I would ask first and avoid hopefully any chance of breaking clips or whatever having a go without knowing what I am doing :)

AS above same as one window in my wagon, push in at edge the infill and pop out, you will then see the screws behind the infill, do make sure someone is on the outside to hold it just incase the unit falls out.camper 16.jpg

I fitted two to the self build David.

It is a clam shell, the screws are under those vent looking things, they have a Domtic name but I forget it, you have to VERY gently prise them off, I think there will be about 20 screws that go through into the outer clam shell so that needs to be supported, you then have access to the blind and the fly screen.

Thanks Kev.
I wanted to remove cover in order to tart up the wall and be able to tuck the new wall covering underneath to make it look tidy. Sounds like might be best to leave alone?

I tried to find some better info for you but there is nothing so far for the A5 version which is the concertina type, only the A4 roller blind type, loads on that, but a slight different fitting as the screws are just covered with caps, but otherwise the same.

This is mine but is what you'll see once the inner clam shell screw covers are off.

The S4 customer version is like this, I tried everywhere to get an S5 to match the other two but I needed done so we could use it.

Thanks Kev.

if you prep in advance and have a comely assistant to stop the outer falling off., take the screw covers off and see how far you can remove one screw only to see how far they come out before losing contact with the outer clam shell, if it's say 15mm or so would they allow you to do it, you could buy longer screws to give more space, you could also maybe loose 3 side a lot and the 4th side a little to allow ait to hinge a bit.

Just trying to figure out a way to get you sorted, but you're the man on site.

I used 3.9 & 4mm plasterboard screws on mine, still in with no problems.

S4 Seitz window fitting instructions very similar to the S5

I'll park this here so someone might find it if they need it.

this has some good S5 info

And this

Looking at those pics I think I'll just leave it be :)

I had to take one of mine off to repair the blind, I just took it off and the sealer held the rest in place, I fixed the blind and replaced it without any problems, that was a few years ago

Me too but I can't advise that or there would be a lot of bottom lips stuck out if it were to fall.

Too Risky.

So easy to sort, no sealer in them as its a rubber o ring on outside, hence a 2 person job, get on with it.
Let me know when you will be over then....
