I hope none of you guys have this problem as my heater matrix is leaking and you have to take the full dash out to replace it this is the start .they quote 8hr labour for the job to say it’s a bastard is a understatement .luckly for me my neighbour sayer he would do it for me thank god lolol all you can see has to come out to get at the heater FFSIMG_4139.jpegIMG_4142.jpeg

Is that the same to replace the heater blower? As my son has that job to do in the summer!!

Life exp of any veh is around 7 years im told, someone upstairs has been looking after me in the past.

Biggest risk with removing and reinstalling an entire dash is all the rattles that can appear afterwards.
On the plus side I often discover all sorts of lost stuff, pens, coins hair clips, screws screwdrivers etc and in the case of the type of vans I typically used to work on, redundant trackers, gps receivers, bodged in usb adapters for cameras and satnavs and usually lots of twisted together wires wrapped up in black tape!

I hope your neighbour took pics throughout the strip down process Jeff. That looks a proper PITA to put back together?

Had it to do on a previous model van, not quite as much dash dismantling but still took 2 days, I work slowly 😆. I like the hi tec "gentle persuader" that's sitting on the drivers seat! Is that for dash reassembly Jeff??
Hehehehe
