after trotter blowing up his engine marie having problems and jeff having a heater leak took mine to get timing belt & service at wullys mate while up here he phoned back and said you’ve got a bent rear axle ?? couple of months back i went through a chicane & clipped rear wheel causing a dent in the rim put spare on and got a new rim & tyre from e bay , been driving around without a thought but this is definitely bent causing tyre to wear on inside new part £750 sweating on delivery though quoted 9th july which will make my 12th crossing tight

Just get it blanked off and remapped out Eric.Its only putting shit back into your engine anyway.

I just had a new egr fitted to mine. It has whistled every time it reached 2000 rpm, and when climbing, it has done this for the last three years, and frightened the sh*t out of the animals in the fields. I assumed it was the turbo, but after a smoke test smoke was leaking from the egr. When the mechanic started to remove the egr it split in two. What a difference I now have a whining from the passenger seat everytime I go above 60!!

Axle out, heat up and use a press, cool slow and refit. £200 job at most.

i got quoted £700 for a new axle +20% vat but got to come from italy so had to be paid for up front if i had a hope of making the orkney ferry on the 12th delivery quoted for the 9th , but thanks for the offer sam

Had an emissions test today, during the MOT, and the readings are even better than previous MOTs, and performance is like a new van. Don’t fork out for a replacement, it will only let you down again in a couple of years.

Mines been acting up this trip, a good thrash has let me reset the code and I drop to 3rd a couple of times a day going uphill to keep it clear ish.
