I am going to trace things through with a multimeter , can anyone tell me is it
Battery - Fuses - Switch (Indicator stork) - Lights or
Batter - Switch (Indicator stork) - Fuses- Lights?
Thank you in anticipation

Side lights are usually 2 separate circuits on a Ducato motorhome. A Ducato van selfbuild might be different.

I put the lights on whilst going through the Tyne Tunnel, the green warning light on the dash flickered and went out, there was a lot of vibration due to a very ridged road surface, I think the problem is within the switch stem, some thing has vibrated or broken off. After checking the fuses this will be my next thing to check. The Motorhome is a Knaus 708G on a Fiat Ducato 2.8JTD

As Scotia mentioned above, check the earth connections. Simplest thing to eliminate and typical of the sort of problem that can arise from the vibrations you describe.

Check your wiring, including the connections to/from the ignition switch, as suggested. The connections to the indicators and light switches will be behind the plastic cover on the steering column. This website may help you a bit.

A quick word of caution, together with a suggestion:
I have a 2001 2.8 idTD and noticed both dipped beams weren't working. So, I started looking for common things, but each side is separately fused, etc. I assumed I'd be needing a new lighting switch or dipswitch but, just to be sure, fitted two new bulbs. Much to my surprise, both sidelights then worked. I guess the moral is that coincidences happen and that bulbs can fail at approximately the same time and that checking the bulbs haven't blown is a quick and worthwhile check! ...

Just had an electrical problem with my campervan….faulty lights.
My local garage had no doubt it was an earth problem, saying it was a common issue with campervans.
All sorted now…so yes, I agree with earlier posters…check the earth wiring.
