Druridge Bay Country Park Rally | August 7th - 12th, 2025

Just a little heads up for anyone who is not in the area often and looking for a wee trip out during the meet ... Alnwick have a Market every Thursday and Saturday, and there are some interesting stalls and traders there.
Parking in a motorhome shouldn't be too much of a problem and Alnwick use the North Numberland disc parking system, so as long as you have a disc (£1 from a machine if you don't have one already), you can park for free for either 2 or 3 hours in most carparks.
There is also a most interesting Rum Shop in the Market Square where if you don't want to buy, you can have a free taste of loads of different varieties (but you will end up buying if you go in! I spend much too much each time I go to it )

If anyone is going to go and has a spare seat ....


PS. I have a few of the Parking Discs I can bring with me, so if anyone wants to borrow one, just let me know.

Apologies but am going to have to miss this meet. Was half way here, in Derbyshire for a couple of days after the Jimmyes RC meet and today have ripped my calf muscle. Just back from hospital so need to rest up for a couple of days before driving back to Somerset.

Neil heading up tomorrow morning in camper as he’s really keen to get there! Caught the paddle board bug good and proper last year…

I’ve got a couple of frustratingly urgent things to attend to tomorrow, so I’ll be driving up in the car later - be handy for nipping to the chippy in Amble or elsewhere though

Hi Phil sorry don’t think I’ll make this meet we stopped at Tebay services on our way up the rd and were going to cross over to Druridge this morning but one of our wee dugs has had very bad ear infection for a couple of days we were up all night with her. Going home to get her to the vets got an appointment at 3pm it’s going to be too late to turn around and head south again once we have dealt with that. I’ll stick my rent for Druridge to the Defibrillator fund sorry.
