Alloy front wing of a 1948 Bentley. Lots of cracks and and holes to fill in. Not the best quality of alloy going around in 1948. Wafer thin material, chill bars required.
Apparently, to have a new wing manuād would cost between 9 to 10K
One other point, Re repair. Folks buying these motors do not want retro stuff in place of the original, retro devalues the motor. Fixing with filler, my goodness, with our roads how long would filler last? Where my welds are like puppies, not just for Christmas, for life.
