Like wiseAre you saying that you couldn't keep your van warm enough in the winter with the Truma gas heater? Just curious as I can't ever run mine (A Truma Ultraheat) at full output as would be too hot pretty quickly.
For your privately owned, end-user refillable bottles, you are legally required to have them tested every 10 years, note the word Tested, not changed. My autosleeper has a factory fitted underslung tank that has a ten year life span ,Marquise gouted £1500 for a replacement, ??? LPG NOT exactly a win win .
But they don't make them like they used tooHad this one sixteen years and that figure includes the repairs, averaged over the years.
[Later] though on reflection, there are quite a few non-garage repairs I didn't include. Perhaps £1k per year might be nearer the mark.
Nothing as much as like the loss of interest on the capital tied up.
Can you recommend a testing company??For your privately owned, end-user refillable bottles, you are legally required to have them tested every 10 years, note the word Tested, not changed.
Not unless you hire out your van. For private use there is no such requirement. However manufacturers do say the valves should be tested/changed every 10 years. Nobody does this for LPG cylinders. For your privately owned, end-user refillable bottles, you are legally required to have them tested every 10 years, note the word Tested, not changed.
My underslung tank suddenly started to look very rusty , gasit recommend thar you paint it with stone chip every year, gasit it now do a rust proof one at autogas 2000 ,Not unless you hire out your van. Really? What law is that? For your privately owned, end-user refillable bottles, you are legally required to have them tested every 10 years, note the word Tested, not changed.
Well, actually, the replacement is the same make as the original, though it is a smaller size (I replaced a 100l with a 70l to get better ground clearance). But they don't make them like they used too
I'm guessing that this law is as invisible as the reply to my question.Really? What law is that?
Where a test is legally required ( not in your case) it is probably easier to just replace the thing. Can you recommend a testing company??
Unless something has changed very recently you cannot get private lpg bottles tested. The 10 year stamp from manufacturers is because that’s when they recommend you change the valves in the bottles/cylinders. There is no law or regulation unless what they are fitted to is used for hire. For your privately owned, end-user refillable bottles, you are legally required to have them tested every 10 years, note the word Tested, not changed.
