If I were in the market for a new van - and had won the lottery, the new Megamobil lounge vans would probably be somewhere at the top of my list..
seeing as I'm not, what I'd really like is the front table that slides out and sits at the cab seats
- about 13 mins 10s into this video

The lagun-style tables would work, but this just seems much better.

Any idea how to make one? where to get the parts?
thanks for looking x

It is made from extruded Aluminium components easily available online. There are various types of brackets for joining them together. It is basically a form of Meccano for adults. Before I retired I built up various frames, box sections etc from it. It comes in various sizes and varieties of section.

thank you :)
I wouldn't know where to start of what the bits are called - but Meccano I used to love
I will hunt for a supplier with useful web shop-front, unless you have any recommendations?

I had a Manta, a total bare metal restoration in the 90s, I only took the one picture, it was Orange, the colour not the fruit.

didn't like the van one bit I'm afraid.

thank you :)

Sorry but I have no recommendations but this company has telescopic items in aluminium that might work.

That table looks very neat and I would say prety simple to replicate as well in fact.
I don't know the british name of the product, but the Americans call it "8020" and comes in various styles.
A good place to see more about this product and examples on how to use in a Camper would be this youtube video. George from Humble Road uses 8020 extensively in his conversions.

Aalco have a massive range of aluminium extrusion may be worth a look. You will have to purchase 4 or 5 mtr sections though.
