I had an insurance reminder letter from AIB a month before due date for £234..... no problem there.
I waited two weeks until I got my MOT test, a week before my due date AIB sent another letter offering an extra £20 discount if I renewed with them now.
I phoned to renew my insurance and claim my £20 off the £234 but was told the £20 had already been taken off. A rat was sniffed.
I didn't have time to "discuss" this so I just renewed but It is obvious that they didn't honour the £20 extra discount for renewing.
