Was repairing my UK nearside mirror today after having an argument with an Austrian bus . I lost by the way .
Anyway once sorted decided to give the drivers side a bit of a internal clean and a bit back to black to match the other side.

At this point I noticed that it does not move as much as the passenger side and trying to pull mirror to the door to fold in only goes through about 45 degrees. This leaves it still out past my coach built body quite a lot.

2010 Fiat with long arms.

Is this normal as I am sure I have seen mirrors pushed all the way to the drivers door.?

Please check yours and let me know

I had a 2004 fiat and both mirrors folded flat to the door. Needed it a couple of times in close scrapes with large vehicles coming the other way on narrow roads, if the mirror hadn’t folded in they would have been knocked off. My newer 2015 transit is the same,

Just a thought - when I had a LHD ducato I had a similar problem because the off side mirror had a RHD mirror fitted. (the default angle was different.)

I am sure the mirrors are correct ones
