Today I have just put the rear box onto the cycle rack for the bad weather .ideal for putting external wet screens in .

Now only thing I’ll change is cider for summer red wine for winter how’s that

Put in my snow chains and autosocks And when its really snowy my BIG silver insulated screen and whole cab cover from Hindermann

A gennie for winter is probably a good idea in case of emergencies

Sorry what to do different for winter,

Let’s see now ... put the heating on? :)

I put a thicker duvet in, along with a shovel and some salt. I also fit the fridge vent covers. Between trips I leave a small fan heater on, with a frost stat to prevent the temperature inside getting to freezing, just in case I missed a bit when draining.

I’m th same just change the duvet and take out the tea shirts and shorts replace with jeans and jumpers and a bottle of whisky for the coffee.

Like Bill, I put the fridge vent covers on, plus get the little heater back in the van when parked at home. I also put the fitted carpet back on the floor for a bit more warmth and pack the campfire blankets in the overhead. Winter duvet, etc. Oh and the wellies go back in the van too.

Already used my thermal underwear this week as Kerry was sooo cold!
Baz reckoned it got down to 5 degrees on Friday night at Hereford, have been a bit chilly at times in the evening so weather is certainly changing. Charlie even wore long pants to bring scooter back from Devon on Saturday :eek:

Heading off for a couple of nights this weekend and judging by the recent lowish temperatures here on Deeside (yes, we’ve had a mild frost all ready) I need to get the van into winter mode: winter duvets to replace summer ones, carpets put back in (removed for the summer as it’s easier to keep the floor clean), thicker shower towels to replace the thin summer ones we use, Karcher window vac fully charged (can’t be bothered to keep putting up the external silver screens so need to clear windscreen condensation), refillable and exchangeable gas cylinders full so we don’t run out of gas for heating, warmer clothes to replace T shirts and shorts!
