Got two days off. Had everything planned. As Nik's looking after Daughter and new Granddaughter, I'll do some washing, okay load the washing machine, and spend the rest of the morning fitting new batteries. Then up to West Brom to have a visit and have some family time. It's hammering it down out side, has been all morning. And just had a text from Nik saying, cos of the weather, stay at home. I'm getting soaked just walking to the van. Opening the sliding door invites a flood into the van. Bit fed up. I wonder if I'm brave enough to use the iron. Running low on shirts. I really don't minded my own company, but domestic chores ? Not so sure. Better day tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Reminds me of Malcolm when I was in hospital when the kids were little daughter had a kilt and he decided to wash it not only wash it but he decided to iron it (I never used to iron it) and when he came to visit he said “by that red skirt was a nightmare to iron it is massive it only took a few seconds to realise that the red skirt was her kilt, needless to say when I came home it took me ages to get the pleats right again!

Don't do, will never do pleats. I like boxers, socks 'n stuff. No ironing required.
Did I say that in 5 months, or 1 argument's time, I won't be wearing shirts. After that everything will be minimum iron. I've found that if you get your tumble dryer timing right, nothing, not even jeans need an iron. Although I hope only to have to wear jeans on high days and holidays. Invited to the palace, court appearances, weddings, funerals, bar mitzvahs ,that sort of thing.

OMG! Is that where I've been going wrong. That's it. Either I retire now, or go to work with wrinkly shirts.

I iron my shirts and my trousers, but I only wear them on very rare occasions when an effort is required to look my best, fur does not require ironing of course

f.f.s Del, ironing!!!! just dry and wear mate and dump those long trousers and shirts, shorts and tee shirts are all thats needed matey. Yes you do get some funny looks at work when you stroll in like that and they all have jumpers and big coats on but it aint me thats cold :)

Would M&S do a wrinkle free me? My wrinkles have wrinkles.

Nik's coming home tomorrow. Only for the night. Got some tidying to do. Not too much, I need to make her feel wanted.
