I just logged into my motorhomes Victron system to see how well my batteries are charging. I was so pleased with yesterdays results that I thought I share them.

That is 718 watts output from my flat-mounted panels in February!
53.2 Amps going into my batteries!
9 hours and 57 minutes of total charge time.,
1.69 kWh of energy harvested from the sun.
That is 141 Ah :) :)

mmm very good. My panels (1 x 160W and the other 100W) checked yesterday, are showing 1 Amp. :(

Interesting that the 718W peak must have been really short, and really unusual for the day, as the total yield was only (!) 1.69kW.

Or, does it just mean the demand wasn't there?

Steve, I don't think you should have parked right beside the skyscraper

Ah, it's a band called Public Service Broadcasting. They use old propaganda type stuff in some of their music which is pretty neat....

Holy thread hijack batman!

OK, back on track... who's got the sexiest solar then?

Even my gorgeously sexy new solar upgrade can't compete with Phil's but then my batteries are totally full, floating merrily along and I'm doing a happy dance

I think the SNP have done something with Solar Harvesting. I've been peaking at around 70W on my 400W array this year UNTIL I crossed the border....
Every day since then has been at least double! Yesterday I peaked at 243W bringing in 18.4A; Day before was 186W peak and day before that was 195W peak. Be back in Scotland tomorrow so back to the SS (Sturgeon Standard) :(

The vacuum cleaner in front of it is sucking out all the energy.

It’s probably because it’s sunnier in England Dave lol

The 53amps that Phil got wouldn’t replace 24 hours use for me and Phil has over 4 times my solar I think. I have had to go on hookup today to get charged up in spite of the B2B, it couldn’t get the batteries back up AND cope with daily usage after 4 days stood at the frog.

Solar has been virtually nothing, as it has been mainly cloudy and wet up to today since leaving the frog. Definitely need to add a 1kw generator to my kit. I am away a lot off grid throughout winter though

Weather since leaving the frog has been great actually (esp. if you are from Scotland!).just wore a tee-shirt this morning down in Berkshire. Currently in Malton, East Yorkshire and still very nice and dry.

Dor you have your B2B fitted yet? (Can't recall?). I was at 52% at the frog and got upto 88% by the time I got to Liverpool with combo of B2B and solar working together. Well pleased with that considering it was recharging 400Ah of battery.
