We're mooching around the south waiting to meet up with family in Wiltshire on Monday and looks like we will find ourselves in Cornwall for the day Sunday, Looe to be more specific.

Any suggestions from Corwall experts ?

Sights, scenery, food and drink related ?

Cheers all,
Andy & Mandy

FWIW, we live not too far from Looe, but don't bother with that town as it's too touristy. It's out of season and so most attractions are closed. If you want quaint, then Looe centre is pretty -- but if you're in a 6m+ van, you'll probably not park in the most convenient car park and will need the Millpool car park in East Looe and walk across the bridge. Good places to eat are the Coddy Shack (if fish 'n chips are for you (GPS 50.3716, -4.4451)) -- sometimes get a take away from there and head out to Hannafore (GPS 50.345, -4.454) and park up to eat while admiring the view. Quieter but excellent food and good scenery is Seaton (car park GPS 50.365, -4.385) and the Smugglers Inn. Perhaps a trip from there along Whitsand Bay -- there's a good park up at 'the triangle' (GPS 50.3313, -4.2221) with views along the bay and to Rame Head.

Sorry I didn't follow up after your brilliant suggestions.

About 2 hours after leaving Devon for Looe both me and the dog (weirdly) began being sick and it lasted 2 days, so the time in Cornwall was a bloody write off....... typical.

We plan on going back in a couple.of weeks so will definitely check out your suggestions,

Thanks again

Sorry you were too sick to enjoy Cornwall. Hopefully, you're better now and that it wasn't something to do with pasties being crimped the wrong way or 'cream first'!
