Has anybody used 3 home broadband with router. And has anybody streamed TV films on it and if so what is your views. Not asking about 3 mobile and streaming. Thanks gerry
Yes been using for over 12 mths and all OK can't say about streaming but catch up TV's works fine no buffering using
Huawei b353 router at home also worked in europe fine off vans 12v
That is what I have. The signal strength has gone from adequate to crap over the last 6 months.
My advice is to get a 3 sim on a monthly contract just to try it. If the signal strength is low, cancel after the first month and try someone else. 3 is the cheapest of the big companies and that is maybe why the signal strength has dropped. Smarty is also owned by 3, so if you have a strong signal, change from 3 to Smarty and pay even less for the same service.
I posted on WC about my speed with a Huawei B535 router, I can get a download speed of 70.91Mbps and uploads speed of 13.78Mbps, sometimes it drops but it doesn't cause me any issues, I was streaming footbal in 4K UHD in the bedroom while Maggy was watching HD films on Now TV, neither of us had streaming issues
I have been running a few tests on Huewei B535 router with a 3 unlimited data phone sim (£18pm but cheaper with Quidco), speeds have been impressive for 4G averaging 50Mbps but using an Amazon Eero I managed a download speed of 70.91Mbps and an upload speed of 13.78Mbps and this was in house...
