6 month eu trip over 70 insurance quotes?

Seems like you have 2 alternatives. Either get married:eek: and use the Irish passport, or get a French visa on the basis of education or work. I remember a post here or in WC from someone who did this, detailing how it's done. Then once in France the Schengen area is open to you for the visa period.
Insurance is then mandatory, and GHIC not enough. Look at AXA Schengen Visa Insurance ( axa-schengen.com/en/ ). They don't cover pre-existing conditions, and don't ask about them. It's cheaper than anything else on the market.

Just found this post from Drover.
This is the latest one, not the one I quoted. Just search french visa.
As a member you should see it
i removed link as it would not work
you should see posts from Mike Padfield as well as this one, there are links on site for correct forms.
hope this helps.
