Just wondering if anyone has received there ACSI book for next year yet, we normally get ours early December, but no sign of it as yet, hoping it arrives before we set of in early January.

I don’t know about direct purchase from ACSI, but, Vicarious books are expecting their delivery on Monday. The postal strike will influence the date individuals who bought from them will receive their copy.

I spoke to the good people at Zetten, ACSI headquarters a few days ago about collecting '23 books as we drove past.
They hope to go Digital next year so you won't need a physical book and card next winter but will be able to get one if you like.

So finally going digital..........about time
I'm another one hoping the books will arrive before we go away.......................of course I don't need those books as it's all searchable on line.................just need that tiny little discount card that could so easily be managed on line.
They have the cheek to end an email with do not print this off if you don't need to......................whilst sending out mountains of books when all people want is the discount card. But they can be available for those who do want paper versions

Our books and card haven't arrived yet either.

Re digital: what about if you cant get a signal and want to search for somewhere to stay?

As I said, anyone who feels they cannot manage without the books can request a paper version.

I suppose the point I was making was that if you were out and about and couldn't get a signal, then the books would be a must. It'd be too late in this instance to get the books, so I think I'd always have the books just in case.

Camping Red, or KonoKono as they are also known have had a digital card for a couple of years, but not many sites.

We used the book for several years but since having a problem getting a refund for the year we couldn't use it due to Covid (Thanks Visa) We've not bothered as we realised we where spending money to save money' Ask yourselves do you need it

Actually I quite like the books and details about the campsite (unless of course it has changed since the books were printed)
The problem as we see on this thread is people having to wait (and hope) for the books or rather the discount card.
It doesn't look promising with the postal strikes and we hope to set off just after Christmas.
They'll save a fortune and a lot of trees if they go digital so membership will be a lot cheaper........................yeah right

Our 2023 books and card have not arrived yet either, possible the backlog of the postal strike.

I'm not surprised you struggled to get a refund. You bought the book and they sent the book
I don't really follow your logic ...........I do indeed spend £20 and save a great deal more..........................surely that's the whole point.

I would say that we save at least 200 quid a year using the ACSI scheme as we spend 4 months a year across 3 trips, outside of peak season on the continent.

For the cost of 18-20 € its a no brainer for us.

But how much do you spend to save that £200 We free camp when ever possible so using acsi would be costing us a lot more

We like to use campsites and so as said I spend £20 and save over £200................. So when I ask myself then yes I do need it.

But if you usually stop for free then clearly it's not going to be of much use to you.

Good for you. We don't free camp so using the scheme as Webby says is a winner for us.

At €18-20 a year to join, it would still save money even for an occasional user I reckon. Presumably most folks who free camp then use sites occasionally to have a long hot shower, fill up the water, do some washing or whatever.

I can recall one campsite in Paris where 1 night in the Bois de Boulougne campsite, saved over the cost of the annual subscription to ACSI (€18 per night saved compared to the then fee of €17 for the years membership).
