Ad Blue and Engine warning lights

We are just on our first proper trip with the 2017 Peugeot Boxer 130 van that I am converting. Driving down the Motorway I thought I would try out the cruise control which I had not used on this vehicle before. As soon as I tried to use it a warning flashed up saying Check Adblue followed by another warning saying Check Engine and the Engine Auto Diagnosis symbol illuminated. It was too much of a coincidence that this happened when I operated the cruise control system. The engine was running smoothly and had plenty of power. I did put a bit more Adblue in before this journey.

The Adblue had been topped up fully a few months back, but a short time afterwards, the Adblue warning came on and then a few days later it would not start. A handy neighbour had a full diagnostic kit and checked it out resettting a number of historical issues and everything cleared and no more problems until this.

I am of course now worried that I am 200 miles from home with no way of contacting that neighbour and the Adblue problem might stop the van starting again. I have a basic OBD2, but of course that is at home. I am competing in events tomorrow and Sunday and will not be able to get to a garage.
Does anyone have any ideas or know any checks that I can carry out or ways to reset the error flags. Thanks for any help.

We had similar with the Adblue said Adblue low topped up only took a litre light still on drove 1000 miles topped up couple of litres warning still on drove to Newhaven ferry to Dieppe few miles WILL NOT RESTART IN 415 MILES.Turned back to Dieppe no ferry available so drove to Calais back to Dover by the time we got to Peterborough Van will not restart on dash.Droe on to home parked up 3am.Next got Diagbox hooked up told ECU Adblue full, van starts drives 10 miles no warnings then Adblue low fortunately was on the way to have Adblue delete done.£250 no more Adblue hassle...guy offered to map engine but said not a good idea as boxer(2020) gearbox very prone to trouble

Never properly solved the Adblue problem. We did NOT get the dreaded warning about "Will not Start In so Many miles" and we got home OK. A neighbour with all the diagnostic kit plugged in and did a number of checks, proved the adblue pump was running etc and cleared the fault code. Went away again in November for a couple of days and the Adblue warning came on again. Neighbour cleared the fault code again. Went away in Feb and it came back on again. Plenty of Adblue in the tank. Took the injector off and it was crudded up with crystal deposit. Cleaned that with fine scratch brush. Fault code went away. Again after a few more miles it was back on again. I had an old OBD2 reader and plugged that in and deleted all fault codes. Again the fault went away for a while and then came back again. The DPF is clean. All the bits including the electronic control board are in the tank, making it very difficult to check further. I cannot now clear the code with my OBD2 reader. I do not really want to delete the Adblue feature, but neither do I want to spend a lot of money on getting a garage to sort it and they won't give any guarantees anyway. Thought about using an additive which is supposed to prevent crystals forming, but would prefer to empty tank first and fill with fresh Adblue before using it. No way to empty tank without taking it off. A bit difficult for me to get the tank off as I can only raise the van on ramps. Any Ideas for solving the problem would be most welcome. The van runs a treat otherwise.

The anti crystal isn't that good I mixed some and left it for a few days in air and crystals formed. It is probably the most common fault to have the low level warning come on when the tank is full ultimately it will trigger the countdown. You hav 3 choices delete £250.Buy a new tank and get a mate to fit and align £800 or take it to a main agent..free tank and €30 towards fitting if upto 5 yrs old or apercentage reduction in tank if over 5 yrs old depending on mileage..is the pump on top or bottom of tank ?

We have had issues with adblue systems on both vans (Peugeot boxer and now citroen relay)

Sorted by our local independent ...he reckons one of the most common issues is adblue crystals blocking the breather on the adblue tank ...
Causing the already weak adblue pump to struggle to deliver sufficient fluid and eventually pump failure .
