Algarve winter campsites & Aires

HI going to the Algarve beginning of Jan 2018 for 3 months in my my motorhome looking for good campsites & aires any help would be very grateful

We had a few weeks at Turiscampo near Lagos, nice clean site in a good location. I hired a car(very cheap ) and explored the local area, every village nearby seemed to have a beautiful beach.

Camperstop Messines.
owned and managed by André and Fran a lovely Dutch couple. It's very rural but only 15 minutes Motorhome drive into town, plenty Parking.
All facilities except EHU. Lots of walking and cycling.
Fees start €6 but go down to €4 for longer stays. We have spent a lot of time there over the last three winters.

Plenty of Aires on the Algarve, suggest you get the Vicarious book of Aires Spain and Portugal, lots of W@@@ camping too but this is becoming harder, Camping Olhao and camping Fusetta are two campsites we have used in the past I like Olhao nice Portuguese town as is Fusetta, several car parks allow vans to overnight for longish terms but the cops are checking that you are NOT camping which means no kit outside the vehicle, a good Aire at Albufera close to the main bus station so easy to get into town, another Aire at Quarteira which is good,[ the W@@@ was stopped at Quarteira, I was fined there 25 Euros but I had been there for 5 weeks off and on so no big deal , caught about 30 vans that day they did hee hee]the Aire is walking distance to the beach and a good cycle ride or walk along the prom into the main town, strange thing with this Aire is that you have to vacate for one day as the market is held there [Tuesday I think ] but they allow W@@@ on the waste ground next door for the duration of the market and then a mad dash back on to the Aire [by some] to get a prime pitch [ they think] and a hook up,as the market finishes, all this is in the said Vic book I mentioned earlier. have fun, take an umbrella as it rains some .Pictures of the free Aire at Vitoria Gasteiz Spain where we like to spend a few nights en route to Portugal, super old city with a great tram service close to the Aire.

This is /was a very popular Aire at Portimao Portugal, not sure if it is still there as some talk of it closing , it is close to a Marina and the town and beaches, it had a cafe and bar and good food on offer, nice town to wander good restaurants and a Casino.https://tinyurl.com/yc8ebh63

Everyone that stops at Turiscamp in Lagos, stays longer than expected. Facilities are really smart. Pool open if you are a masochist! Restaurant open - a la carte or buffet. Animation program includes exercise classes and local walks. But do hire a car from reception ... dirt cheep and it is delivered to the campsite.
100% recommended. There is also an aire in Lagos ... as others along the coast ... but you have to pay for them anyway, so why not stay in a top notch campsite?

There are two biggish aires at Alvor. One is free the other I think 4.50 for anight with water and waste just car park type aires right next to the beach.

Also winter at Praia dos tres irmaos next to the beach
