Alternators

Let’s talk alternators I looked on line and they vary in price from about £60 to about £200 why is this I thought it would be one size fits all but clearly not so for a Fiat Ducati 2.8 is there a certain one I just want to make sure that the mechanic that fixes it puts on a descent one and not a low grade made in ?? any advice would be helpful at this stage.

I think motorhomes have heavy duty ones to cope with fridge
