Hi All. Anyone postponing their Portsmouth Santander Ferry?

A never heard of failure occurred on our Motorhome Scooter when a valve collet broke, yeah, I'd not heard of it either! Long/short is repair will not be done by next Monday so have postponed our Ferry until repair is done but unfortunately next available space is FEBRUARY 17th!! If anyone out there has also been stymied by an unfortunate event and are postponing a crossing prior to that date could we liaise so I can nab your crossing please. Naturally, I don't wish misfortune on anyone but if I could rescue myself from my personal disaster it would be appreciated. Thankyou

Yes, thankyou, turns out when I could eventually get off the drive onto a flat area it was the incline that caused the problem simply because it tilted the fan blades so they do led the housing, hard to see that cause the boiler is shoehorned into the bottom of the wardrobe!!

I've still got a tin of my Dad's carborundum paste and his wooden stick with the rubber plunger.

2 valve grinding suckers and 4 white metal bearing scrapers.
That takes me back to many monotonous days
Carborundum paste
Brasso for slide valves on traction engines

Thanks for everyone's replies, suggestions and humorous quips, as suggested, persistence paid off and I've rebooked for 30th Jan...a little later than I'd wish but at least I'll be able to get my tax return done Thanks again
