Anyone replaced the ECU on their van?

I got a bit heavy handed and cracked the ECU housing. The van turns over but now won't fire up.
So i may need to replace the ECU. (I've got an auto electrician coming later in the week to have a look)

Has anyone had theirs replaced?
Sending the old one off to be "cloned " may be an option.
I've also seen "self programming " ones

Mine is a Citroën Relay 2.2 puma engine from 2008

A friend had his cloned as what ever failed within was obsolete. All works well now.

Mine is a Citroën Relay 2.2 puma engine from 2008

Had mine replaced by an auto electrician in November 2021 when they were as rare as hen's teeth. Overall bill was £1335 because the sparky also traced and virtually eliminated a parasitic drain that was back feeding through the step circuit. The cost included replacing the vehicle battery and cloning the new ECU to meld with the electrical system

The auto electrician bought the ECU and fitted it, including the cloning, which in simple terms is the equivalent of a 'Save file as' command; this means that all the settings from the old ECU are copied across to the new version and the electronics don't have a problem with its signals. You need the software to access the OBD (?) Port to do the cloning. I was charged 1 hour's labour for the cloning.

I messaged my mate last night after posting but he has not replied yet I'll message him again.

It was the ECU doctor, he shall look and see if he has the number when he returns home.

It was plug and go after the cloning. His ecu was buggered so they supplied another and cloned from his.

I had mine done here last year it couldn't be fixed. 07 ducato.
