apple carplay sat nav

the zetec radio/sat nav fitted to my van cannot be updated so the maps are now 9 years out of date , my car has apple carplay and i’d like to get that for the van if i replace the whole thing it’s a double din and between £600-£1000 one guy i got a quote from recommended a stand alone sat nav with a ten inch screen looks good anyone gone that route

Double din units wise, I have a Sony double din head unit with Apple CarPlay cost brand new from Halfords £300, I use that in my Peugeot partner van, in my 1996 ducato Motorhome I use a sceanic dash mounted standalone that works through the aux port on the Sony radio I have fitted, works flawlessly and cost about £90 online.

i purchased this from amazon it’s a 9” screen most of the 10” versions were split screen, only tried it in the car but on bluetooth picks the i phone up straight away lovely clear mapping does phone & music etc out of stock now but only £98:89 when i ordered it , only used the cig lighter to power it but that adapter has a built in usb to run the phone also comes with a rear view camera and an auxiliary lead have to explore those later
