Apple experts needed

I don’t think so assuming you mean an iPad Air and not a Macbook Air. Whilst the connections are correct, the iPad doesn’t have the ability to recognise other devices apart from certain cameras in order to download pictures. The iPad operating system doesn’t give you any sort of control over recognising non-camera devices such as a Garmin. Equally Garmin Express isn’t configured for iPad use and I’m not aware of any third party apps that would help. Also how would you identify/extract the POI files on the iPad? Unless someone knows differently of course, in which case please post!!

I can give it a try Rog, I have thecables with me to connect my iPad Pro to my Aguri. May not get s try tonight as we are still travelling in horrendous traffic (well stoppedfora brewat the mo) but if not I can tomorrow.

That would be brilliant if you could try Neil. I look forward to hearing how you get on. Thanks a lot!

Arrived at Henley but don’t think I am going to be up very long tonight, will have a go in the morning Rog

Not looking good Rog, when I connect the iPad or iPhone to the Aguri it pops up a picture import box at sat nav end but nothing on iPad. I have a file browser app on iPhone and just looking to see if I can add the Aguri as a network drive but so far not done it.

I can lend you the cable if you are at Henley and want a play, it is worth asking Phil as it may be something he has done or tried. I do have my MacBook with me and works laptop so we can get them on if you need it doing rather than wanting to know.

Actually Rog if you want a play I have a HooToo TripMate Nano travel router with me just in case. You could set up a network and add iPad and sat nav to it and see if you can ftp the files on using the IP’s

Cant be at Henley Neil, thanks for having a go. I will speak to Phil in due course and see if he has any ideas.
have a great Meet and dont forget to give Suzie and the Backbeats an extra loud cheer from us!!

Volunteers required to experience ????picking and cider making in return for bbq food and drink in September if anyone’s interested!!!!

Hi Roger, You caanot use the Ipad to do this. You need the Garmin POI Loader software that only runs on Windows and Mac OSX devices. The iPad runs IOS.

Ok Phil, thanks I wasn’t sure. Looks like I WILL have to treat myself to a new laptop. I was hoping to maybe just use the iPad.
