Are these security window covers?

At the chippy last night and this little van pulled in.

Must be the smallest coach built I've seen, but notice the side window.

Kind of looks like been fitted inside out?

security windows would be more like on the EM-50? (Along with the covers to protect the wheels), but you would only need this if going to Maccy D's rather than just the chippy.

There is one marque (French) that fits these screens to their vans, but I cannot recall at present. The last one I saw was in Audiernne last year. They appear to be made of plastic as far as I could tell, rather like the roller shutters you see on many French buildings. I reckon they are sun shades rather than a security item.

I think the make was Notin.

I'm not sure as I've not seen a camper that didn't have internal blinds as standard.

there is a badge on the front of that motorhome that reads "Autocruise". but it doesn't look anything like the "Autocruise" labels I recall seeing on a British Autocruise. It is a RHD van though.

Curiously when I googled Notin Motorhome images, this one is the best of the bunch. Curiously it has a uk plate on it.

Same windows :)

I could imagine a situation where an older motorhome needs a replacement window but it is no longer available. Something like the windows on that Notin with the external surface framing could be a good way round the problem? So a handy alternative?

I think you're right, I've seen quite a few French vans with them and they are plastic, yes Notin is the make of van they were fitted to and as you say like the shutters on many European buildings to keep the sun out.

It is for sale in Stockport as well
That is going for a fair amount so far!
EDIT: just read it is a 2008 van. Couldn't tell with that plate and looks much more dated (to me, anyway :) )

The front headlights remind me of something but I can't recall what (they will not be unique to this van I think).

Yes, it is Notin, cracking brand of MH they produce.

The add says they are aluminium not plastic shutter so a little stronger but still really only to keep the sun out
