Hi Guys.
I've heard there are BBQs that with a connection will plug into the motorhome gas bottle?
I've looked online and cant see anything specific for motorhomes, but there again I dont know what I'm looking for!?.
Can anybody who's got this set up with they're moho please advise? I dont really want to be cutting holes on the side of motorhome unless I really , really have to.
Thanks in advance, Alistair.

these are the two main outlets both mean cutting into the van not a job to undertake if your not knowledgeable about it/, you then have a hose attached to your bbq with the other part of the quick release adapter IMG_2230.pngIMG_2229.png

Is there anything I could fit to inside of gas bottle locker, ie run a pipe out of open door rather than cutting into body?
Also where do I get the pipe and BBQ from?

On the Burstner we had there was a spare outlet on the shutoff valve manifold within the van. I ran copper pipe to a similar fitting that Ken showed from the manifold then had a plumber pressure test for leaks.
To be on the safe side I put a pilot hole through the outer and inner skins then took the 65mm cutter through the inner skin removed the insulation just to make sure there were no cables running behind before boring the outer skin.

I looked at that manifold as a possibility but unfortunately it only had 3 outlets which were all used.
I might be able to T off the supply to the heating unit & put an outlet somewhere in that area but will have a better look.

Yes I did think about the disposal BBOs or just a proper BBQ but they are to much of a faff/messy and besides the latest gas BBQs actually heat strips of metal that the fat from the meat drips onto creating the BBQ taste from smoke, so a decent gas BBQ really does have similar results as traditional. I've got one for garden.

Come to think of it i may have used a T then fitted a shut off valve, or there may have been a blanked off end that I used. Had a look through my photos but couldn't find anything.

Best solution for us was a cadac safari 30 light that uses cheap disposable butane cans

I use a Cadac. When I bought the MH the dealer put a T in the gas connection to the hob and installed a socket on the outside abeam the hob. This is on the side with side entrance door and we place our folding table close to the socket to minimise hose length.

You could try using charcoal, or even bbq briquettes. Then you’d be having a BBQ, and not grilling your food. Lol
Most meets now say no live BQ gas only
So I bring a bag of ash out of the wood burner and sprinkle it over the food on the gas BQ taste just like real BQ :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
