So, about 11pm, glass of rum in hand and Mrs S down in the basement setting the washing machine timer, all the power went off.
Bugger, we had just had a new cooker fitted and assumed there was a problem with it or the wiring, but after a few minutes of switching stuff on and off and isolating circuits, I discovered the fault was on the electric hook up cable leading out to the van. I had only put it on that morning to give the batteries a boost.
I disconnected the cable and the fault cleared. Looked in the van and none of the circuit breakers had operated, so, it must be the cable. I pulled the cable out of the vans socket and noticed this.........

It was raining so the mouse must have had a good nibble at it while the cable was outside and not connected, otherwise there would have been a fried mouse under the van.....
