Hi all,
The drivers side large habitation window is cracking up, both inside and out . Bits falling off inside and leaking. It’s a 2005 Autosleeper Executive. Autosleeper don’t have any spares or make them anymore. Can’t find anyone who stocks or fits them. Getting a bit desperate….
Anyone have any ideas or recommendations ? Even if it’s just the best way to seal it for now.
Thanks Ellen

A picture would help. If a second hand replacement cant be sourced, a thick piece of clear Perspex shaped and installed permanently (non opening) would be an option?

Check caravancrazy . You'll need part number which should be stamped on window

Thanks for your replies everyone.
Caravan Crazy seem the most likely so far. They need measurements next, so we’ll go from there…no phone number, only email communication.
Since the van is my only vehicle and parked on the roadside, I’m unable to remove the window and send it off to EECO for 2-3 weeks.
O Leary’s apparently don’t know what they have in stock and refer you to their website rather than looking for you….couldnt find one there. 😕
Would be fine to have a non opening fixed window…where to find one, or a maker of one though……
Don’t understand El radge’s response?
Thanks again, Ellen All bright ideas welcomed 😊

When I sent a window off to EECO, I simply replaced it temporarily with a piece of marine ply through-bolted to wooden battens across the opening on the inside.

thanks again for all your helpful replies. Explored all the options ….. EECO can make another window so now organising window removal and replacement with marine ply and battens. What thickness did you use TJBi? Local BandQ will cut to size…balance of weight v strength I guess…..
Wheel bearing now shot!!! can’t be fixed til 26th, so I’m going nowhere til then….😕 cheers Ellen

Not sure what thickness I used; it may have been some marine ply that I had left over from my sailing days. Thick enough to be reasonably rigid and I used penny washers to spread the load from the bolts. One could go relatively thin and use battens on both sides - subject to any security considerations. The motorhome was in a reasonably secure location, but if security had been a concern, I would have gone for battens on the outside as well and used coachbolts.

Thanks TJBi,
It’s parked outside my flat on a quiet side road, so should be ok. EECO say turn around is 2-3 weeks. I’ll empty precious stuff out just in case. Now off to rummage in the shed for bolts and other necessaries……cheers!
