Butter??

I have done all my shopping spent just over £200 on food the other day so I didn’t have to go near a shop on Xmas Eve, FFS I forgot the butter it’s a bloody staple how! What! Why! I now have to go scrape the ice off the car to go to the shops to get butter gggrrrrr. ?
 
Obviously not a well organised person then are we ? Glad there’s a few hundred miles apart ,hard hat area? ;)
 
I keep trying to buy butter - but my son keeps getting low fat stuff instead. I tell him butter is healthier but he doesn't agree. :mad: He worries about my cholesterol.

Same here ! Heading out shortly for good old Lurpak and another 2 tins of quality street as we have eaten the 2 tins I bought a fortnight ago lol.
 
Didn’t forget anything but decided to try espresso martinis on friends last night. So j kindly braved the supermarket for vodka and khalur. The carpark had attendants and he made the comment on his return that I would have hated the crowds. That’s why you went, my dear!
 
could never decide on butter or tother.........as a result havent had either for a good number of years.........dont miss it either..........

no frost here....others are sat outside with patio doors wide open having a cuppa and a chat.......

Trixie I couldn’t live without butter I have never eaten the other muck as it tastes waxy and horrid .

must admit lurpak is delicious.

anyway annie.....should be sending one of the lads out for it......youve done all the shopping, probably doing all the cooking......etc etc.....they should be running after you....lol...............have a good one....
 
It comes to us all Annie, you will have to have a list for the lists and where's Bill in this time of need
 
Gorgeous sunny day here too and not at all cold either.
I've just been clearing the decks and gearing myself up to make this year's batches of sausage rolls and mince pies. Gathered all the ingredients together and guess what? I forgot to buy mincemeat :rolleyes::cry: Mr Kipling's anyone?
 
No problem Gordon... how many of you coming? Bring your own whisky though, I've only got a tiny pocket sized bottle :ROFLMAO:
I usually make a couple of dozen mince pies and at least 4 dozen sausage rolls because my mob love them so much. There used to be all four of us in the kitchen on Christmas Eve, singing and bopping away to Christmas music, all covered in flour with something alcoholic on the go. Now it's just me to carry on the tradition but I've got the music and the bottle at the ready... just not the mincemeat :oops:

It’s very sunny but has done nothing to the temperature here.

Yay! Glad to hear there are still other Quality Street people out there... I thought we were in danger of extinction :ROFLMAO:
I've got a tin stashed away to take to the New Year meet (y)

I've got to be loyal to Quality Street because I've got a Chris Evans type tenuous link to them. It was the J M Barrie play that inspired the name and packaging style of the chocolates. The original stars of the play back in 1902, Seymour Hicks and Ellaline Teriss, moved to The Old Forge in a cul-de-sac in Merstham, Surrey - where I grew up. When the actors moved there, the street was renamed Quality Street in their honour and it's still there today.
